SOUTH Australia’s independent and peak business body has labelled the move to a one person per two square metre density rule from next Monday as a big win for businesses.
A Business SA poll of over 300 South Australian businesses had found 91pc of respondents wanted the one person per four square metre rule scrapped.
Business SA chief executive Martin Haese believed the new measures would be more workable.
The peak body had also recently written to the Police Commissioner requesting a pre-approval permit system for essential travellers, praising yesterday’s announcement which it believes will give that effect.
“Although we are moving to open borders, it is important for businesses with essential staff having to travel between South Australia and restricted states to have confidence about moving staff,” Mr Haese said.
