BINGO has been a regular entertainment option at Boneham Aged Care Services in Millicent for many years.

However, the protocols associated with the COVID-19 pandemic means it has to be presented in a different way for the time being.

Access to the Williams Road facility is still restricted as is the case with aged care homes across the nation.

Residents still gather in the Diva Room each week to play bingo but the familiar cry of ‘eyes down’ now comes from a caller in a remote location via digital means and a super-size television screen.

Boneham leisure and lifestyles coordinator Deb Cavanagh said the new-look bingo sessions were well received.

“This has amazed us all,” Ms Cavanagh said.

“Thank you to those who have taken part.”
