Community wellbeing forum to be held online

Rob Francis And Anthony Hart TBW Newsgroup
DYNAMIC DUO: Rob Francis and Anthony Hart will have important roles in the online mind health forum on June 3.

MILLICENT and district residents are urged to participate in an online community wellbeing forum next month.

The Wattle Range Suicide Prevention Network has arranged for mind health advocate Anthony Hart to present a free session on Zoom starting at 6.15pm on June 3.

The suicide prevention network arranged for Mr Hart to address a gathering of 150 several months ago in Millicent.

Network members believe the livestream is timely as the COVID-19 virus has put unprecedented pressure on regional communities.

Mr Hart will share his story and guide online attendees through how they can build their own better mind health action plan to help overcome any significant life challenges.

His talk will be followed by a question and answer session moderated by Limestone Coast educator and prevention network member Rob Francis with all queries received on an anonymous basis.

Standby Support after Suicide member Tracey Wanganeen will be available to offer support options or referrals.

Bookings are essential and must be made via Mr Hart by email at info@anthony-hart.com.au or contacting 0419 188 208.

The June 3 community wellbeing night has the strong support of Wattle Range Suicide Prevention Network chair Des Noll.

“The COVID-19 virus means this is a time of dynamic social change,” Mr Noll said.

“This period of social isolation has an impact on mind health.

“We have to have conversations about mind health and ensure the community is connected.

“There are professional people out there for support.”
