SOUTH Australia recorded its first COVID-19 confirmed case in 19 days yesterday after a woman in her 50’s was diagnosed with the disease after entering the country from overseas.

The women travelled from Victoria to South Australia under a compassion exemption and was tested on arrival at Adelaide Airport on the weekend before isolating.

People in close contact have been notified by SA Health.

There is now only one confirmed active case of COVID-19 in South Australia.

SA Pathology has undertaken more than 91,000 COVID-19 tests across the state, including hundreds in Mount Gambier.

People experiencing fever or chills, a respiratory infection or a loss of smell or an alteration in the sense of taste should be tested.
