NANGWARRY artist Rob McDonald will feature at Penola’s Gallery 54 later this month.
Mr McDonald’s passion for art has developed over the past decade with the artist learning to rechannel his creativity to the visual arts after developing hearing loss.
Originally a musician, Mr McDonald has been encouraged to pursue art over the years, exhibiting his work around the Limestone Coast.
His latest collection of work – to be displayed at the small town gallery – reveals his interpretations of life via his paintings and wire sculptures.
Mr McDonald said he loved to work with the wire’s softness and flow, with each piece representing a thought and memory he vividly
recalls.
The exhibition will open on March 29 at 2pm with guest speaker Chrissy Pudney.
The public are invited to attend the gallery and meet the artist.
