ISIAH:

Variety is the spice of life for senior school student Isiah, who is studying tourism, mathematics and child studies in his final year of schooling.

“I chose these subjects because they are all things I am interested in,” he said.

“Although it has been a bit challenging, Year 12 has been good so far.”

He said he was enjoying the diverse range of study topics.

After finishing his final year of school, Isiah hopes to get into the retail business and has aspirations to become a manager.

“I did work experience in retail and really enjoyed it,” he said.

“I loved meeting new people and getting to know them.”

RYAN:

While a majority of students are keen to leave the classroom for good after their final exams, Year 12 student Ryan intends to come back to school life as an educator.

Studying art, tourism, outdoor education and English, Ryan hopes to start his career as either an art or physical education teacher.

“I chose these subjects because they are what I had left,” Ryan said.

“I did Year 12 physical education last year so I could have a bit more room for my final year.”

Ryan is unsure where he will study teaching, but said he will explore options later in the year.

“To help keep myself on track with my studies I have a written plan for each subject so I have an even amount of hours study for each subject,” he said.
