THE newest Women in Business and Regional Development (WiBRD) Hall of Fame inductees will be announced during the organisation’s launch this week.
Initiated in 2016, the hall of fame has been developed to recognise and thank individuals for their contribution and continuous influence towards WiRBD.
Past inductees to the hall of fame include organisation founder Elaine Pollock, Tammy Whitehead, Wendy Richardson and Elizabeth Hodges.
WiBRD chair Jacinta Jones said the event was an opportunity for members to come together and celebrate the dedication and contribution of individuals.
“It is our honour to recognise their time and use of resources that continue to empower the women of this region for over 21 years,” she said.
“This year Women in Business and Regional Development are excited to combine their 2020 launch with the hall of fame.
“The board is excited about the year ahead and the opportunity to present to the community our updated strategic direction with a renewed focus on developing the capabilities of regional women.”
Hosted by board member Liz Rymill, the event features a two-course meal and entertainment from Since Tuesday.
The organisation will also host a International Women’s Day Breakfast an the Main Corner on March 6.
