A man has been fined almost $2000 after being caught driving 50kph over the signed speed limit.
At about about 9.10pm on February 12, police were conducting speed detection duties on Bay Road at Moorak, just out of Mount Gambier, when they detected a car travelling at 114km/h in a 60km/h zone.
Police stopped the car and spoke to the driver, a 30-year-old Victorian man.
He was issued with a $1983 fine and an on the spot loss of licence for six months.
