THE so-called Porch Sessions played before an outdoor audience of 350 near Millicent on Friday night.
Musicians and singers performed at a secret location, with audience members bringing along their own picnic rugs and folding chairs as part of the relaxed atmosphere.
Only ticket holders were told of the Millicent location.
It turned out to be the Sandon Avenue property owned by Kerryn and Gary Davies in Millicent.
The lineup of Merpire, Hannah Blackburn and Forever Son presented 10 shows in backyards and gardens over the course of the past three weeks.
In the lead-up to Millicent, the Porch Sessions were at the historic Mount Sturgeon homestead near Dunkeld.
Millicent concert-goer Kath Taylor said it was time and money well spent.
“The Porch Sessions were a great night out as it was a perfect opportunity to relax with some friends,” Ms Taylor said.
“We loved the music; the weather was good and it was a delightful setting provided by Kerryn and Gary Davies.
“I hope the Porch Sessions come through Millicent again in 2021.”
One of the performing artists noted on social media that Millicent had treated them to an amazing time.
Back in 2018, local couple Ben and Sally Gower hosted the Porch Sessions at their Canunda farmlet.
Two years ago, the grounds of the former St Clare’s Catholic Church at Tantanoola were used for a Saturday evening concert as part of the Porch Sessions.
