Adelaide exhibitor and Southern Bricks Lego Group ambassador Steve Ready showcases an approximately one-metre high display of the Haigh's chocolate bilby, as well as a Batman creation. Mr Ready said the bilby took around six weeks and 12,000 Lego bricks to complete, with the Batman display taking four weeks and around 4000 bricks.

HUNDREDS of Lego lovers flocked to the Mount Gambier Showgrounds over the long weekend for the BrickGambier exhibition.

Dozens of competitors showcased their creations at the event, with winners taking home Lego trophies in the form of Mount Gambier’s Centenary Tower, crafted by local exhibitor Scott Bradley.

A VIP auction held Sunday night raised over $2,000 for Wet Noses Animal Rescue.

Among the drawcards for the event was Lego Masters Season 1 contestant Kale Frost, who enjoyed the chance to mingle with the Lego community and reveal his real personality following his dramatic portayal on the show.
“Reality television is not real,” he said.

“The advantage of being the villain was you did not necessarily have to go along with the narrative they set out for you.

“I would still probably do it again.”
