Millicent buildings vandalised

Pines Servo September 23 TBW Newsgroup
ATTACKED AGAIN: The unmanned Pines Service Station on Mount Gambier Road Millicent has been targeted for the second time in three months.

GRAFFITI vandals have again been active in Millicent in recent days with two prominent buildings daubed with large letters.

The unmanned Pines Service Station on Mount Gambier Road was also targeted for such wilful damage a few months ago.

The site has been owned by Caltex for the past five years and petrol is now only available via a credit card after staff were removed in mid-2017.

The second building to be vandalised was the former headquarters of the Millicent Netball Association on North Terrace.

The brick premises have been unoccupied for several years and had been “protected” via a security fence.

This is no longer in place and the graffiti vandals defaced its eastern wall.

The building is owned by Wattle Range Council.

In both cases of the latest graffiti attacks, only one wall was damaged.

There has been a spate of such vandalism across Millicent in 2019.
