PARENTS, caregivers and prospective students of St Anthony’s Catholic Primary School will have an opportunity to mingle with new principal Liza Couzens at the education facility’s open day event.
The gates to the school will open from 2.30pm to 4.30pm today, with a second session to be held tomorrow from 11am to noon.
Attendees are asked to meet in the administration office before each session, where they will be guided by Ms Couzens and school captains Lana Shepherd and Angas Patterson on tours.
“The Open Day sessions are designed to highlight the wonderful prospects the school provides, where young people have the opportunity to achieve their potential and thrive as capable and competent learners in a welcoming and caring community,” Ms Couzens said.
“This is also a great introduction for families to explore the benefits of a Catholic education for their children, to tour St Anthony’s and view educational programs in action.”
The school will also host a practical solution workshop focussing on promoting resilience in young people, which will be hosted by psychologist Lana-Joy Durik.
The event will be held on August 21 and will run from 6.45pm to 9pm.
Interested individuals are encouraged to register their interest with the school.
