AN innovative workshop focused on the development of young girls attracted around 40 students at Melaleuca Park Primary School on Monday.

Students from Melaleuca Park, Mount Gambier North and Yahl primary schools participated in the Girl Power workshops.

Participants explored the topics of inner confidence, fostering a positive mindset and resilience before they enter a world of social media.

Dancing, role playing, active games and many more activities were used to identify strengths and body positive imaging.

Other workshops were held at MJ Dance Studio which had a broader focus including healthy friendships, gratitude and mindfullness.

Ms Combe – who founded the workshops – said she was passionate about empowering the next generation of women through the interactive activities.
