A MILLICENT group is on the look-out for new members as its monthly meetings have recently got under way for 2019.

Millicent Legacy Widows Club members enjoyed lunch at the Millicent swimming lake on Wednesday for their March monthly meeting.

Club president Alice Cruickshanks said there were probably some women across Millicent and district who were eligible to join.

“They need to get in contact with us,” Ms Cruickshanks said.

“We sometimes hold our meetings at Boneham Aged Care Services in Millicent to accommodate some of our members.

“At our club, you meet up with like-minded people and find fellowship and friendship.

“You can access help through the Legacy Club in Mount Gambier.

“We meet on the first Wednesday of each month.

“April is a busy month for us as we sell Anzac Appeal badges at the IGA and Fosters supermarkets in Millicent.”

According to Ms Cruickshanks, investigations are under way to see how interested people could become a “friend” or an “associate” of the Millicent Legacy Widows Club and support it in this way.
