Love in full bloom across region as romantics embrace Valentine’s Day

LUCKY IN LOVE: Chanel Dimuccio received a bouquet of flowers yesterday.

ROSES are red, our lake is blue, love was celebrated in the Limestone Coast yesterday, were you one of the lucky few?

Valentine’s Day was in full swing yesterday with florists around the region swiftly wrapping bouquets in preparation for the festive day.

Bunches of blooms and boxes of chocolates could be seen in businesses and homes across the region with lovers going all-out for the special occasion.

Mount Gambier resident Chanel Dimuccio was lucky enough to receive a gift, a bunch of roses from partner Luke Thomson.

Even after three years together, Ms Dimuccio was still pleasantly surprised when the bouquet of flowers was delivered to her workplace yesterday.

“I was not sure Luke would get me anything considering we have been together for so long and now we live together,” she said.

“It was a bit of a surprise when they came through the door but he can definitely be pretty romantic when he wants to be.

“Valentine’s Day is all a bit of fun but a girl always feels special when someone she loves buys her flowers, so I’m definitely grateful for him today and every day of the year.”
