Rural business on award shortlist

REWARD FOR EFFORT: The Mount Gambier Castec Rural Supplies team were excited to be nominated for the Combined Rural Traders 2018 South Australian business of the year award, recognising its commitment to expansion and meeting the needs of its clients.

CASTEC Rural Supplies Mount Gambier has been named as a finalist for the Combined Rural Traders (CRT) 2018 South Australian business of the year award.

South Australia CRT state manager Jason MacKenzie praised the high standards of the store and its commitment to broadening its goods and services to meet the needs of its clients.

“Castec Rural Supplies Mount Gambier have worked over the years to ensure they can continually offer their customers the latest and best products and advice,” Mr MacKenzie said.

Mr MacKenzie also spoke highly of the specialist knowledge held within the team.

“This nomination reflects the strength of the team they have put together and their ability to provide not only a full service offer but specialists in these areas to give their clients the best service,” he said.

“The knowledge held within the team makes them leaders in their region.”

Mr MacKenzie praised the store’s involvement with its local community.

“They have proven each year just how committed they are to supporting their local community,” he said.

“This continued effort lives up to the values that we live and breathe at CRT and it comes as no surprise they are well established in the region.”

Castec Rural Supplies Mount Gambier manager Craig Foster said his team was proud of the nomination.

“The team and I are very proud to be nominated for this award,” Mr Foster said.

“We pride ourselves on what we do and have a terrific customer base.

“There are a lot of great CRT businesses in SA, so to be nominated is a good achievement for us.”

Ruralco executive general manager Greg O’Neil, responsible for the CRT network, praised Castec Rural Supplies for its consistent effort servicing their community as well as the greater CRT
network.

“This store is an invaluable part of the region which stems from their strong community involvement and commitment to meeting the needs of locals for which they provide,” Mr O’Neil said.

“They remain strong contributors to the CRT group and are held in the highest regard by fellow CRT stores.”

The South Australian winner will be announced on February 10 at the CRT Conference.

The South Australian winner will then represent South Australia in the race for the National CRT 2018 business of the year award, to also be announced on February
10.
