Senior driver airlifted after crash

AN 80-year-old Mount Gambier woman was airlifted to Adelaide in a critical condition after a serious head-on crash on Friday on the Princes Highway between Woods Well and Kingston SE.

Just after 1.30pm, two cars collided just south of Woods Well about 45km south of Meningie.

The woman was the sole occupant of one of the vehicles
Two adults in the other vehicle received minor injuries, while three children travelling in the same car were uninjured.

They were taken to the Meningie Hospital as a precaution.

Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash and ask anyone with information who has not yet spoken to police to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or report on line at www.crimestopperssa.com.au
