TARPEENA and Kalangadoo Country Fire Service brigades have received a special Christmas present thanks to the generosity of Timberlink.

The Tarpeena manufacturing facility has donated two defibrillators to the brigades in a move to save lives.

Welcomed by the CFS, the defibrillators will be placed on trucks at both sites.

The donation follows the Timberlink Tarpeena sponsorship committee learning the CFS brigades were in need of the potentially lifesaving equipment.

The sponsorship committee members made it a priority to deliver the equipment to the sites for Christmas.

This special delivery was made on the last day of business for the year.

Many Timberlink workers, including Jamie Irving, are CFS volunteers in their spare time.

“Timberlink is proud to be able to help the heart and soul of our local communities in such a meaningful way,” a Timberlink spokesperson said.

“There are not many things more important to a local community than its local fire brigade.”
