Champions crowned

SCOTTISH TRADITION: Ebony McDonald and Hailee Pearce took out two of three championships at the South Queensland St Andrews Day Championships.

HIGHLAND dancing prowess was showcased at the prestigious South Queensland St Andrews Day Championships.

Held recently in Toowoomba, Margaret Cleves School of Dancing students competed against over 150 competitors.

The school took home two out of three championship titles.

Hailee Pearce was successful in the 11 years and under section, winning all four dances in the championship, following on from her win in Tasmania recently.

Ebony McDonald took out the 12 to 15 year section of the championship.

Ebony also placed runner-up in the premiership section and won a special Blue Bonnets dance,

Both students also competed in the recent Daylesford Highland Gathering along with 16 of their class mates.
