Sweet success for Seeley

INNOVATOR: Tamara Seeley with her Limoncello Caravan Bar.

WHEN Tamara Seeley launched her debut EP in 2015, she was looking for a fun, quirky popup bar and instantly noticed a gap in the market.

Two years later she launched Limoncello Caravan Bar, which has since serviced over 50 events across the Limestone Coast and south west Victoria.

Ms Seeley pitched her business model to a panel of judges at the eNVIe awards on Thursday night and her impressive pitch earned her the silver eNVIe and a trip to the US next year.

“Organising events can be stressful, time consuming and often turn sour, but when you throw us a lemon, we will turn it into limoncello – making your event sweet, fun and smooth sailing,” Ms Seeley said.

“Limoncello Caravan Bar is a 1970s caravan transformed into a fully functioning bar.

“We supply staff, glassware, cocktail garnishes, manage the entire bar operation and even do the dishes.”

The popup bar services weddings, private parties, corporate and community events.

“We are a bring your own service – you supply the drinks and we serve it, so we do not have huge markups on alcohol,” Ms Seeley said.

“You create your own drinks menu and we turn a drink into an experience.

“We love weddings and they love us, but since Venture Dorm I have discovered corporate businesses have also been craving our service – they too see the value and convenience Limoncello Caravan Bar has to offer.”

Ms Seeley said her competitors had also become partners.

“I have teamed up with licensed venues, wineries and accommodation to bring vibrancy to events,” she said.

“We are currently the only mobile bar on the market today offering live music.

“This is not a solo operation, I have my husband and team of amazing staff to run the caravan for me while I work on the business.

“I can now see Limoncello Caravan Bar actually has global potential and I will be looking at franchising my business model.

“My business is about bringing people together and creating lifelong memories.

“I love that I can combine my passion for live music and hospitality to give my clients the ultimate entertaining experience.”
