Agnew makes fresh council bid

SPORTING and business identity Deb Agnew has made a fresh bid for local government by nominating for Sorby Adams Ward on Wattle Range Council.

She was an unsuccessful candidate for Kintore Ward at the last poll in 2014.

Along with her husband Chris, they run a prime lamb farming business midway between Mount Burr and Kalangadoo.

Their common interest in sport has carried on to their children Peter, Hayley, Jonny and Brad.

Ms Agnew has an employment history with experience in primary health, recreation and sport and community development with government and not-for-profit organisations.

Currently a member of the South East Natural Resources Management Board, she has held positions on a number of government boards and numerous volunteer committees and has formal qualifications in human resources and management.

Among her committee roles, she has been a regional representative on the South Australian Population Advisory Group and the South Australian Regional Communities Consultative Council.

Meanwhile, Millicent educator Moira Neagle lodged her nomination papers for Corcoran Ward on Tuesday, while serving councillor Glenn Brown submitted his Wednesday.
