A CREATIVE and colourful exhibition of artworks is on display at the Millicent Visitor Information Centre.
Award-winning and international selling artist John Whitlock is excited to exhibit his work for the first time in the South East.
Mr Whitlock describes his work as exotic, sensual, alluring but dangerous with an instinctive approach.
“Finding the right outcome can take time, however in order to ensure that a spectacular result is achieved, I will often revisit a piece on several occasions,” he said.
“Using my subconscious as reference material allows me to use a wealth of opportunities that is never ending.”
Mr Whitlock’s paintings evolve from everyday inspiration and experimentation and he uses techniques of mixing media and blending colours.
His style is abstract expressionist art and his medium is enamel.
“I am a strong believer in ensuring that my work is both different and original to the point where I stretch the limits beyond the conventional,” he said.
“I enjoy exploring the constant surprises I get when painting.
“As an abstract expressionist, the use of colour and blending paint is an exciting exploration of my craft.
“I like to keep my design and thoughts free at all times to be able to allow my pieces to happen, growing and changing on their own accord.”
Mr Whitlock’s artworks are available for purchase and will be on display at the visitor information centre until the end of September.
