Koonara Wines Winter Warmer Fiesta

THE Koonara Wines Winter Warmer Fiesta on Friday evening had it all – food and wine, music, an adventurous crowd and a spontaneous sound and light show by mother nature.

Over 500 people braved the weather and came out ready to party.

Guests danced to live music by DJ Justin, Jon Peters and Mount Gambier band Sugar Loaf.

A highlight included an impromptu collaboration between the crowd and band when a power outage meant they united in song.

The crowd enjoyed woodfired pizzas, burgers, hot cinnamon doughnuts cooked by Mary MacKillop Memorial School representatives and coffee.

Held at the Old Hospital Laundry on Hospital Drive, the venue gave guests the perfect view of Mount Gambier’s night sky.

Koonara Wines co-owner Nicole Reschke also thanked those who donated to Four Reasons Why, a South East charity helping
clothe Mount Gambier families in need.

“We received hundreds of donated scarves and beanies and over $200 – it goes to show our community has a big heart,” she said.
