George the Farmer co-creator nominated for business award

BUSINESS LEADER: Hello Friday director and George the Farmer co-creator Ben Hood has been shortlisted for the InDaily South Australian Top 40 under 40 – celebrating the achievements of the state’s finest business leaders under the age of 40.

ONE half of the team behind George the Farmer has been recognised as one of the state’s finest business leaders under the age of 40.

Co-creator of the children’s entertainment juggernaut and director of creative agency Hello Friday, 37-year-old Ben Hood was selected from 500 nominees as one of the shortlisted finalists for the InDaily South Australian Top 40 under 40 awards.

The awards celebrate the passion, vision and achievements of South Australia’s finest young business people under the age of 40 and the contribution they are making to the future of the state.

The program recognises not only the personal determination and commercial drive of these future business leaders, but also the philanthropic pursuits that balance these individuals’ professional achievements.

“I think the awards are a great opportunity to celebrate the achievements of young business people in SA and it is an honour to be shortlisted,” Mr Hood said.

Mr Hood is vice president of the Mount Gambier Chamber of Commerce and a director of the Stand Like Stone Foundation.

He has been actively involved in many community projects across the Limestone Coast.

“I’m extremely passionate about the Limestone Coast and Mount Gambier in particular,” he said.

“These awards can help to shine a spotlight on the great and innovative things happening in our regions and I’ll continue to promote and advocate for our great city.”

The awards will be held at the National Wine Centre in Adelaide on June 7, where the top 40 finalists will be announced.
