THE competitiveness streak shone among budding young athletes at Beachport recently for the annual Coastal Sports Day.
Enjoying a fun day of activities with family and friends, students from Tantanoola, Beachport and Rendelsham primary schools showed off their sporting skills.
Held in perfect autumn weather on the Dick McIntyre Memorial Oval, Tantanoola Primary School principal Moira Neagle said the 2018 Coastline Sports Day was a success.
She said it was a great day of participation, physical activity and competition.
“The students demonstrated their commitment to doing their best and in supporting their teams,” Ms Neagle said.
“The weather was a textbook fantastic South East autum day.
“The atmosphere among staff, students and families was one of enjoyment and pride in what we do well.”
Lions Club of Beachport and Rivoli Bay past president Mike Coonan said his club had supported the event by providing equipment for community use.
The club’s mobile hot donut van was operational and good use was made of the portable generator, cool room and barbecues.
