BLUE Lake Y Swim Club has returned from a successful SA State Championships campaign in Adelaide, with several top-10 finishes from the nine athletes attending.
Nicole Moran, Archie Muller, Hayley Pearson, Thomas Bignell, Mia Kleinig, Leila Croker, Aleisha Pearson and Freddie Muller competed in one or more events each over the five days of competition, while Nicholas Bignell competed in the Junior Dolphins Carnival on the final day.
Thomas Bignell put on an impressive display and achieved national times in both the 100 and 200 metre breaststroke, where he won the bronze medal for both events.
He also won gold in the 50 metre breaststroke and will now look to compete at the 2018 Georgina Hope Foundation Australian Age Swimming Championships to be held at Sydney in April this year.
