REGIONAL Development Australia (RDA) Limestone Coast will host an Innovation and Export Forum next Tuesday.
The forum will be held from 1.30pm to 5.30pm at Mount Gambier City Hall and will provide local companies with direct access to government agencies that can assist growth into international markets.
RDA chief executive Dave Wheaton said through leadership and collaboration the region was “poised to embrace innovation” and keep pace with the demands of the global economy.
“The Limestone Coast is a diverse region featuring competitive advantages in industries including agriculture, forestry, fishing, tourism and manufacturing,” Mr Wheaton said.
“New international free trade agreements, emerging supply chain opportunities, commercialisation of local ideas and products, technological advancements and an export appetite for clean, green agricultural products will drive the future prosperity of our region.
AusIndustry regional manager Callena Rawlings said the forum would bring together a range of experts to share information with businesses looking to grow, innovate and export.
“We know businesses are busy, so we have provided a forum which makes the most of their time and exposes them to new information and programs which can support them,” Ms Rawlings said.
“I think everyone who comes will learn something new, gain a broader understanding of global market opportunities and find a new avenue of support.
“We have a great level of interest so far, with places filling up quickly, so we encourage businesses to RSVP as soon as possible so they don’t miss out.”
