Council executive announces retirement

MCSHANE RETIRES: Mount Gambier City Council chief executive Mark McShane has announced his retirement and will finish his role in mid-February.

MOUNT Gambier City Council chief executive Mark McShane announced his retirement yesterday and will finish his role in mid-February.

Mr McShane moved from Adelaide to Mount Gambier in late 2011 to take on the role.

He acknowledged the work of councillors and staff over the past seven years of his tenure to deliver major projects and provide services to the community.
