ROBE 10.27 (87) D NANGWARRY 3.1 (19)

IT was a case of inaccurate kicking which kept Nangwarry in the contest against Robe in Round 14 of Mid South East football on Saturday.

That was for the opening term where scores were tied up at 12 points apiece, before the Roosters began to open a big lead, with the sheer weight of possession too much for the Saints to handle.

By the main break the Roosters had 39 points on the board, thanks to four major scores and 15 behinds.

The Saints were scoreless for the quarter, with the margin 27 points thanks to all of those behinds.

The minor scores continued in the third quarter, as Robe kept possession and continued to pepper the goals, but five of their eight shots were offline.

In response the Saints kicked a goal.

The final term was simply more of the same, as the Roosters continued to hold the ball in its attacking half of the ground and ran out 68-point victors.

Coach Nathan Brown, Henry Lawrie and Tom Wachtel kicked two goals each for the Roosters.

No one kicked multiple goals for the Saints.

Best for the victors were Jack Sneath, Brown, Benjamin Dinning, Brodie Foulds, Joel Bryant and Wachtel.

Best for the Saints were George McWaters, Ty Dinnison, Lennox Lewis, Joel Virtanen, Isaac Raymond and Logan Gibbs.
