Students join Lions to keep school grounds in check

HELPING HAND: Mary MacKillop Memorial School students Olivia, Tess and Heidi help to keep the school’s grounds looking tidy as part of the school based Leo Club program.

MARY MacKillop Memorial School students have been busy exploring diverse ways to keep their school grounds tidy as part of regular school-based Leo Club meetings.

Year seven students, together with the Penola Lions Club, have established a service club with a focus on the school’s yard.

The club meets with Year 6/7 students every three weeks in an effort to build relationships.

Projects have included renovating the school’s butterfly
