Vintage begins

THE Coonawarra 2018 vintage is well under way with activity stepping up with extra staff employed at vineyards and wineries to produce the region’s renowned wines.

Zema Estate’s Nick Zema said it was an earlier start to the season than previous years due to a dry summer bringing processes forward.

With the potentially devastating black frost hitting vines in November, Mr Zema said luckily the winery  was not adversely affected.
