Cricket: Rain dampens cricket dream

ALL TIED UP: The Lower South East Division 2 SAPSASA team of Hamish Case (back left), Isaak Mulraney, Jack Domaschenz, Liam Turley, Harry Fisher, Noah Sims, Mitchell Cornolo (front left), Aiden Creasey, Mitch Harrold, Bodey Hosking, Brodie Allen, Kaidyn Weber and Brady Dethmore finished equal first in the State Carnival last week, after their grand final match with South West Adelaide was called short due to the weather.

THE Lower South East SAPSASA Cricket team finished equal first at the State Carnival held in Adelaide over last week.

Competing in Division 2 in a round robin formatted competition, the Lower South East juniors finished in the top spot alongside South West Adelaide.

The team, consisting of 13 players from the local district and coached by Heath McShane, started off the week with a tight five-run win against Torrens River.

The boys then defeated Port Adelaide by 75 runs on day two, with the youngsters displaying aggressive batting
