South Australian firefighters remembered

REMEMBERANCE DAY: Firefighters around the State paid tribute to their fallen mates with a minute silence on Tuesday.

METROPOLITAN Fire Service (MFS) and Country Fire Service (CFS) representatives from the region paused for one minute on Tuesday to remember and honour firefighters who have lost their lives serving their community.

At the Mount Gambier MFS station, the flag flew at half mast until noon for National Firefighter’s Rememberance Day as staff paused to pay tribute to 10 MFS and 13 CFS firefighters who tragically made the ultimate sacrifice.

MFS chief officer Greg Crossman said it was important we acknowledge the courage
