PETER Roulston’s 1985 VK Holden Commodore played a vital role in the Great Escape Cystic Fibrosis Car Bash fundraiser last week, raising money for the organisation.
Peter traveled alongside his son Jarred on the 11-day trek from Ararart to Mount Gambier.
“We designed the car with a “Back to the Future” theme this year, and on its own it raised $10,000 for the charity convoy,” Mr Roulston said.
The car is equipped with a 3.3 litre engine and was valued at $4,000 when first released.
Editions to the vehicle included roof racks, raised suspension and larger tires which were needed for the car to meet the requirements of the bash.
“The vehicle is mostly used in rallies and fundraising for
