Finals time brings police out in force

ON PATROL: Millicent Police Senior Constable Jeremy Johnston and other officers will be monitoring the behaviour of patrons and drivers as the winter sporting finals start this weekend.

POLICE across the Wattle Range Council region will be monitoring crowds and driver behaviour on Saturday as football and netball finals are held at Tantanoola and Penola.

Local police resources are set to be boosted by the South East Highway Patrol.

Millicent Police officer in charge Senior Sergeant First Class Peter Brown said random breath tests will be undertaken by officers.

Sgt Brown said there are five main factors which contribute to road trauma – drink and drug driving,
